The names of the six finalists vying for the county manager position were published yesterday on the county’s website: Charles Akers, Nathan Bish, Brandon Heacock, Lucas Meyer, Clarice Navarro, and David Paul. It is an interesting list of folks. The statute governing this process provides that the final selection will be made no later than 14 days after posting the finalists’ names. If my math is correct, December 30, 2024, will be the date we all find out who the next county manager will be. In the meantime, we should all compare and contrast each finalist’s data with the position’s requirements and those of the other finalists.
