Do they represent what used to be YOUR Republican Party? Does their current public presence reflect who and what you believe Republicans should stand for?

The Actors

Kimberly Gregory is the Public Relations Chair for the Park County MAGA Republican Party. She is also the Head Accountable of the South Park Outsiders, an organization devoted, at least in part, to spreading the tenets of Tactical Civics to those willing enough to listen. In 2022 (see below), she summarized her perception of us versus them, good versus evil.
Dave Wissel is Chair of the Park County MAGA Republican Central Committee and the Park County District 3 Commissioner. With his blessing, Kimberly Gregory provides the public face of MAGA Republicans in Park County.

The Whistler believes in the Code of the West, an idealized fantasy of history that never was.

Jason Gemmer is the hand-picked poster boy candidate of the Park County MAGA Republican Party running for the District 2 Commissioner seat. As below, he’s running to keep the county red.
Amy Mitchell is the immediate past Chair of the Park County MAGA Republican Central Committee and is seeking reelection to the District 1 Commissioner seat. She was Chair of the PCRCC when the MAGA loyalty litmus test was added to the PCRCC by-laws.

A grassroots kind of politician. Well, except for the needs and wants of folks living east of Kenosha–599 Rosalie (Imagine folks wanting a park in their neighborhood!!!) or a health district in Platte Canyon.
The above are just some of the characters in this saga. There are others, but these four will suffice for right now.
Let’s examine the current public face of the Park County MAGA Republican Party, as provided by the Central Committee’s PR Chair, Kimberly Gregory.
X (Twitter)

Ms. Gregory’s silly Park County Republican repost on X (Twitter) was, I think, posted before the debate. As absurd as the X post was, the DonOld’s addled absurdities trumped the meme.
Ms. Gregory watched the debate in Mesa, Arizona. She was there to attend a Charlie Kirk event with JD Vance and Kari Lake. I guess she was there also to get the vote out in Arizona, representing, of course, the Park County MAGA Republicans.

Yeah, about that Biblical Worldview…

Yeah. Right. This list is the sum-total of The DonOld’s policy–bullet points. He doesn’t have any coherent policy. Do you want proof? That’s easy enough. And don’t get me started on the “Policy, not Personality” bullshit. Policy, it isn’t. You want proof of what The DonOld thinks policy is. Here you go:
I suspect Ms. Gregory has assistance with Facebook posts. The first two pics provide an insight into the indisputable connection between Evangelical Christianity and MAGA Blut und Boden (Blood and Soil) nationalism.

The Park County MAGA Republican Central Committee liked the Haitian thing, and, Boy, Howdy, they love to strut their cleverness and their skewed vision of reality. The detestable assassination attempt on the DonOld resulted in a bit of blood from an ear that was struck probably by flying glass or some other projectile, not a .556 caliber bullet. He wouldn’t have an ear if a 556mm bullet had hit him. Nevertheless, in the MAGA mind, the old codger took a bullet for democracy, a true Patriot, unlike John McCain, who “got caught.” MAGA disdain for the rule of law, for the verdict of a jury composed of ordinary folks just like you and me, is despicable and dangerous to our democracy. Yet, The Park County MAGA Republican Central Committee celebrates their intention to Vote for a Felon. How special is that! (Dave Wissel is credited for erecting the signs. Certainly an example of politics as performance art.)

The Park County MAGA Republican Central Committee supports Sergei Matveryuk for Congressional District 7. When Matveyuk gets to Congress, he says his “…dream is to have a bible study group there. My dream is to have a small church there. …Into that catacomb… Into those halls of darkness… Bring light to this world, preach the gospel, and start a revival there. That is my goal, and I want that to happen. Just simple people fighting for God for the truth.”

Of course, the Public Relations Chair of the Park County MAGA Republican Party is earnest in her commitment to her and her comrades’ cause. She works hard at it and provides a graphic insight into who she believes are true believers like her. The question remains: Is this the public image you want for what used to be YOUR Republican Party? Does their current public presence reflect what you believe Republicans should stand for and who Republicans should be supporting?
I don’t know. I’m not a Republican or, for that matter, a Democrat.
